Induction Days 2018

Tomorrow and Thursday and Friday, we will be welcoming new VIBOT (BSc and MSc) and MaIA students. Friday night, from 7pm, the 11th graduation ceremony for the VIBOT and 1st graduation ceremony for the MaIA will be held at the Centre Universitaire Condorcet. Students, colleagues and friends... Great moments to come...

A nice paper entitled “Visual Tracking Using Sparse Coding and Earth Mover's Distance”, authored by Gang Yao and Ashwin Dani (University of Connecticut), I had the pleasure to edit for Frontiers in Robotics and AI – Vision Systems Theory, Tools and Applications. Thanks a lot to the reviewers! It took quite a bit to do the job, but it was worth it.

Have a look at it, it's open access: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/frobt.2018.00095/full#h12

Here you can find my public ORCID page: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9180-9539 (yes, my ORCID is: 0000-0002-9180-9539). It is not updated, but I will try to make an effort to have it more exhaustive in the following weeks and months and years...

I still have a few important emails to reply to. I'll do it in the next few days. Have a nice weekend, everybody, and enjoy the last mojitos of this sunny summer!

The VIBOT Day(s) 2019 will be back to France and organized by the coordinating team in Le Creusot (uB). More to come...

I will be on vacation with limited access to my emails until August 12th. I'll only answer urgent messages or dinner invitations. Thank you for your understanding.

For the future VIBOT graduates and the candidates who will join us in 2018, I remind you that the induction days will take place from September 5 to 7 and that the graduation ceremony will take place on September 7 from 7PM, Centre Universitaire Condorcet, Le Creusot. Hope to see you there!

I will be in Madrid from October 1 to 5 for #IROS2018 (https://www.iros2018.org/).
